ipod touch - Song ordering problems

Hello guys, i have just bought an 8GB ipod touch this weekend. Its all good only i have one problem that is annoying the hell out of me .

 

That is, when i have created a playlist in itunes, added songs to it and syncronized it with the ipod i find that on quite a few albums, the tracks will not play in album order . Normally this is not a problem but when listening to progressive rock or live albums then the track order does matter.

 

I have set the track numbers, album titles and artists in the ID3 tags of every file and it displays in the correct order on itunes. As soon as i sync with the ipod, i find that some albums are ok while quite alot are listed in the wrong order. The ipod is set to list by album on the pane at the bottom (on the ipod). Im baffled on this one. Cheers in advance for any feedback

it goes by what is most listened too on your itunes account when you set up a playlist. its annoying as hell but I have yet to find a way to fix it!

I don't have a touch but rather a old nano so it might be sightly different but if I go into Album area it will display them in track order (if they are tagged correctly) or alphabetically compared to making a play list.
