Lesson Monitor - ODBC Error

We are getting the following error on several machines throughout the school when trying to use Lesson Monitor

 

It completes database syncronisation, but as soon as someone tries to bring up a class register the following error is generated

 

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access driver]Data type mismatch in criteria expression

 

Anyone know what this is and how to resolve it?

Dont know what the error is craig, have you tried copying the lessonmonitor.ini from a working machine to a broken one. This was an issue some time ago. Other than that, copy the whole sims.net folder from a working computer to another. Not an ideal solution but usually works in desperate situations.

Went thru all that - have now found what it is!!

 

Salford's oh so wonderful ScriptLogic is setting the local Date format to .. M/D/Y !!

 

SIMS, naturaly want the format to be DD/MM/YY

 

SL is overriding any changes i make locally and putting it back to M/D/Y again :banghead: :banghead:

there is a file in the local program~sims~sims.net folder lesson monitor.mdb delete this and this should cure your problem

we have had lesson monitor for 2 years and it has loads of problems

The trials we have run seem to go ok but that is only for Registration and on two year groups.

This Lesson Monitor.mdb file causes lots of problems for us. So much so we have a VBScript scheduled every night to run round all the workstations deleteing the file if it exists, before they're all shut down.
