brahma Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Hello all. Does anyone know if it is possible to prevent certain users from attaching photos and or pictures to emails? I have a number of users that insist on attaching photos to their emails and I just want to stop it. If I cant prevent it I'm gonna have to disable their email accounts. Cheers,
Michael Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Depending on what e-mail application/server software you use, you may be able to create rules to prevent attachments based on file extension. Typical examples are .ZIP or .SCR which can be used for transferring viruses.
brahma Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks Michael. Just realised how dense I am - totally forgot about the software we're using!! We are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with a mix of Outlook2003 and Outlook2007. OWA being used too.
