Kitkatninja Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Came across this and already booked my place, but thought that it may be of interest to others in our area. In partnership with the West Midlands Mobile and Wireless research project at Coventry University, Daconi are able to provide wireless training for school ICT technicians for only £245* per delegate. The one day course is equivalent to NVQ Level 3 and will run on Wednesday 8th April 2009 and the 11th March 2009. Not bad considering it's equivalent to NVQ Level 3 and the program was developed with a University -Ken 2
kmount Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Two of my techs are attending the April one.
GrumbleDook Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Looks interesting. I'll email out to other schools tomorrow.
Little-Miss Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Well spotted. As i dont drive Coventry seems a bit of a mission.....unless i could get my techy friend at another school to get on the course too ...

Kitkatninja Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Its been confirmed now thanks - Have been told to bring a wirless enabled laptop with me too. I better check to see if I have to bring one, they never told me that Thanks -Ken
Kitkatninja Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Did the course yesterday, all I can say is that is was very, very good. I learnt quite a few things and would recommend this to anyone. The course is rated level 3 of the NQF by Conventry University. The only down side that I can think of is that none of the software tools would work on my laptop (Vista 64-bit), if you do go on this course take a wireless enabled laptop with the 32-bit version of XP -Ken
