LANSchool - inactivity timer kicking in

A tutor has asked me to look into a problem they are having with LanSchool:

 

Basically when they are showing a demo to the class from their tutor machine, the student ones are going into XP monitor standby mode after the specified time kicks in!

 

Is there any easy way to resolve this WITHOUT turning off the standby option on the student machines?

Have a look at the power options on the clients and I think you might have to make a change. They are not using the computer and so I think they are hitting the time of going into standby.

 

Have a look at MSFN Forums > Power Options GPO?.

 

I have not tried it.

This is Ben from LanSchool. The later versions of LanSchool should not have this problem. The student software slightly moves the mouse and moves it back so that it will keep the screen saver from coming on. I'd recommend logging into the customer portal and downloading the latest eligible version and let me know if that resolves your problem.

I use a current version of Lanschool and control students PCS for looong periods of time. Depends on how good they are as to how long I control thier monitor lol

 

Seriously though, i have never had a problem with monitors blacking out. Xerox LCDs mostly.
