W2k3 server ; redirected desktop

I am putting together a script to send an email from the desktop. I have a link which opens a PHP web page on a web server. The user just types in a message and clicks "Submit".

Is there a way to find out the user that is logged in and place the name in my web page?

TIA

Im not aware of any way to get PHP to pick up on the currently logged in user.

not sure if theres a better way, or if you can put the current user into the desktop, you might have to make a script to make the shortcut that make it go to:

form.php?user=<>

you could even add "&pc=<>"

to make it put the PC in aswell.

the two values would then be passed as $_GET values
