thom Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 We have just got 20 new laptops and i was wondering if it might be useful to install the tablet XP edition as opposed to XP pro. This raises a few questions ? Is it legal ? Will it work ? Is there any point I thought it could provide a few extra tool to the teachers that have a projector but no IWB.
plexer Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Probably not any point really is there? you could install your IWB software on them anyway so that they could use the screen annotation tools without the IWB's Or any other screen annotation tools. Ben
TechMonkey Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 As far as I recall once you've stuck SP2 on then you are getting tablet pc 2005 anyway, it is just a code somewhere that says to allow the tablet bits to work. But there isn't much point as you can't touch the screen or do any of the cool tablet things. as for licensing I think it would be a grey area, bordering on the darker edges.
