- standard desktops (one user one box)

- VDI (full fat windows but running on a server cluster)

- pure terminal services (mutli users on one server)

Unless this was for somewhere that would be heavily in to video-editing or similar, I'd put in 11 NComputing-based "thin client" workstations, maybe supplemented with some netbooks if we had the wireless infrastructure.

Currently we have no thin client, so it's all fat at the moment, but I'd like to move towards VDI for Technology / Art / CompSci.

 

It depends upon costs, and what the room was to be used for.

 

I want to move towards thin client for some rooms, as I hope it's a way to push out more machines across the site.
