Tiscali Broadband Idle Connection

Hey,

 

My parents recently switched over to Tiscali Broadband and every so often the connection becomes idle and disconnects. Does anyone know how to make it so the connection does not go idle? They are running Vista and the router is a Siemens Gigaset SE587 WLAN dsl .

On the router there is a setting to Keep Alive: make sure its set to On

 

and you should stay conected even when idle some ISP (mine does) offer a setting on there site to configure the connection as always up.
