edsa Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Hi - I was wondering if anyone allows SkyDrive through their school web filters? It seems like a good service that offers anyone with an account several GB of storage space on the web, but are there any possible security risks with allowing this service to be used in school? It would be good to get opinions and views on this. cheers Eddie
PaulBM Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 One of our ICT teachers have been using this for a couple of years or so, but we've hit a problem with our wonderful Smartcache. Since it's been moved to live.com our filtering blocked it, obviously Instant Messenger MSN etc was blocked. I whitelisted skydrive.live.com, but some lads showed me today that it generates a weird https type error after they enter their passwords. Cannot load http:443 or words to that effect. Anyone else seen this or fixed it, I'll try to get the exact error soon. 1

SYNACK Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Just to check, you have whitelisted https://auth.blu.livefilestore.com as well?
