Also anyone read in PCPRO about the new virus that spreads on the MBR and runs outside of the OS? Very nasty from what was said and almost impossible to detect with normal AV tools. MK-2 Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 i know its hitting vista now on mem sticks as it autoruns and brings up a menu saying "open this folder" twice, and one of them installs the virus while the other opens the folders normally. *touch wood* haven't been hit by it, but did hear that a school in Nottingham had its network downed due to a virus, but can't confirm if it was conficker
