contink Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Just wondering if anyone else has watched the broadband link in the North Yorkshire area go downhill over the last month or so... From what I've seen at three different schools it seems as if the bad old days of connectivity have returned... Are we alone on this one?

The link has been slow here all day, I don't know if it's just Mondays but it is becoming the norm. (Or that might be my perception only)
contink Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 Thanks for the input to those both publicly and privately... It seems my schools aren't alone and having spent some time playing with some testing tools and watching packet loss kill page after page on the net I raised a ticket. It seems that my decision to invest time in learning the ropes for DansGuardian is well founded. Even the headteacher who was against a backup ADSL line is now very much in favour...

Pages are loading slow, not at all or only after the second reload. This is with NYCC and we are considering now to get a ADSL backup connection in.
