Around the £600 mark, depends on what gets added or removed, as in we would want USB ports but unlikely to need the barcode scanner or RFID?

Nope, cos there isn't one!

Its touchscreen finger or digitiser pen (type or handwrite) or anything not too sharp really!

Just noticed that in the specs :o.

So............. How 'stab proof' is it?

I was trying to sort sound out but in end settled for me talking over it as couldn't sort sound as flip camera just bombed out on the sound again..

Well I gave it quite a few hard wacks yesterday no problem, I'd imagine it might scratch with a compass?

As for Tipex, yes i think so, its waterproof and antiseptic proof so just wipe it off with some white sprit!

Very so

So does that mean it will withstand heavy input from a ham fisted student with a biro?

If so does that mean that because of its robustness users have to hit the screen with a little more effort than a normal touch screen?

I'm not trying to be awkward on purpose - honest! :D

I'd guess that larger disks will come as SSD drive prices decrease, as for a DVD, there's a docking station and you can use an external DVD only at present.

onboard DVD will only increase the vunerability

If your calming it to be Student proof what sort of warranty, would you consider offering with it, and how accessible is it for maintenance (obv outside of warranty).

how future proof is it?

bear in mind I'm NOT the manufacturer or its representitive, just a lowly Network Manager and Tech freak!

Accessability wise not very as its sealed to IP6 standards, there again I've not tried to dissassemble it!
