Shorty Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Hi All, I have a budget of upto £500 for a new projector. This is one that will be used when I visit schools doing presentations. The sites could be a small dim lit classroom or a large Vicotrian hall so ideally something that can cope with those different throw lengths and have a good visibilty in sunlight. I know I ask alot but any recomendations ? Thanks John

The only downside is that the prices of projectors as of Jan 1st have gone up due to pound vs dollar although some distributors have stock at the old price meaning you can get quite a good deal. We are a reseller of whom can help and we have recently with the help of some manufacturers put together a competitive flyer fully priced. It also has other useful products which may be interest. If you email me i can send you a copy. The brands i would reccommend are either Toshiba , NEC or Hitachi, most of these companies give three years lamp warranty aswell. Regards Phil

Marc-Engineer Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I would recomend an epson for your type of use the Epson X6 would be a good choice with 4 year ON SITE guarantee and lamps around £130 fior replacement, also they are instant off so no cooling time required ideal for mobile use. Marc-Engineer Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Thats why they are better for mobile as they have NO cool off period as others do, they can also be moved while on a definate NO NO with all others. Also any problem with Epsons is sorted ON SITE by Epson for 4 years. They come with a carry case and have an inbuilt dust cover. Marc PS no i dont work for Epson
