lionsl2005 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Hi, i need ti install a software, which should only be able to access by teachers? how do i do that? no students or staff? detail rep much aprociated. we run windows server 2008.
ChrisH Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Install the software as normal. If you dont have a group for staff, make one. Alter the NTFS permissions on the software folder so only staff, system and admins can access it. You can alter the permissions through a GPO or some kind of startup script using Xcacls or something. 1

FN-GM Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 You could delete the shortcut from the all users start menu. Using group policy make the shortcut appear in the profile using group policy. 1
