beeswax Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I've been using this for quite a while now with teachers laptops, where you install a basic image and return the files and settings. This time, however, despite pointing it to the file (on an external hdd) it says the file doesn't exist. I did this on a laptop last week without any problems. Has anyone encountered this before and have you found a work round? beeswax
alan-d Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I've come across this when using an external drive via USB. I deleted the USB devices from add/remove hardware devices, rebooted, let XP reinstall them and it worked fine. If it's not that then I'm stuck too
beeswax Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 well it seems to be working, but very slowly, or there's an awful lot of stuff to put back. Or, as the teacher says, "Oh, it's just a couple of files and my printer at home."
