I've uploaded the new school website and asked to have the class A ip address changed to point to the new server, but now no one can access the mymail through the link on the website. Now I know our email is working because Im still able to send and recieve mail through my outlook.

any ideas?

Hi PEO,

Looking at your site the link points to http://www.bishopsgarth.stockton.sch.uk/mymail which won't exist because that would be implying it was on the same box as the website.

I'm guessing this worked previously either through the www. being hosted on the same box as the mailserver, or through some alias redirect when the site was hosted at the LA.

Nonetheless, without a direct link to their webmail provision you can't fix the problem.

If the box hosting /mymail is hosting several domains (IE, the default vhost isn't the mail) then creating a subdomain with the IP will not help as the box hosting /mymail won't know that's exactly what you're after when you visit mymail.yourdomain.com.

The simplest solution is to obtain the direct url to their platform and link to it.
