kesomir Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I would suggest removing the direct link to your email addres and going instead with a web contact form to prevent the addy being harvested by spambots. 1

FragglePete Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Looks good. I'm currently working on a Joomla 1.5 site for our School using a tweak edu-geek template. Have to be careful it doesn't look too similar now. Pete 1
EduTech Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Looking very good, we're also using the Edu Template.. along the same lines.. we will also have to make sure they dont look too much alike Well done! James. 1
PEO Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 My main concern t the moment is the email link is broken. seems some one at easynet has made a little mistake
SimpleSi Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Some nice ideas there. I like the logo on the content header backgrounds - helps break them up a bit. Also love the way you've used the slideshow with the descriptive text - going to to nick that idea for my sites regards Simon 1

markiemark Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 hmm... i wonder what download manager is used. Looks nice
markiemark Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Oh. sorry for not clarifying that. What i meant was the two modules on the right that handles download to the pdfs. Did you use docman or another component? Would very much appreciate an answer as I'm looking for modules like yours for the school web im still in the process of building. im just building the back end only (without any content as that would be done by another friend).
matt40k Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Looks nice, works in IE6... which is always great. RSS feeds don't work, the email link at the bottom is going to be a spam magnetic, also it's better the have a generic address, incase someone else takes over. Overal it looks really nice.
clarky2k3 Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Oh. sorry for not clarifying that. What i meant was the two modules on the right that handles download to the pdfs. The modules are just mod_newsflash. Just create a new one and link it to a specific article.
PEO Posted January 5, 2009 Author Posted January 5, 2009 Finally now have the email working and rss feeds. I need to figure out why a user can't download a document from docman. If anyone has any ideas I would be greatfull. Once I have these basic functions all sorted out then Im going to start sorting out the content and tidying it up. Just finished creating a christmas theme, and will be uploading it soon to see what you all think and accept any suggestions. cheers
markiemark Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 The modules are just mod_newsflash. Just create a new one and link it to a specific article. oh... thanks clarky. im using docman now btw. hey peo wats ur error with docman? i had a smooth installation with 1.5.0 and upgraded to 1.5.8 without any probs knockwood
actech Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Looks good! Don't know if is just me or not but the header in IE7 reads Bishopsgarth School Maths & Computing College Not sure if the & is supposed to be there
