Laptop with builtin 3G - Any recommendations

Any one recommend a laptop with builtin 3G technology?

 

So far I have found HP 6910p, which looks good.

Have you been taking drugs? My mate works for IBM and has about 4 of these thinkpads, says they are the worst laptop in the world and would never use his own money to buy one. Plus they look like they were built in 1982

The Dell Studio series have the option for 3G as an option. They are also a lot of laptop for very little money!

I don't know about the SL500 series but their others are great. Hell, any laptop that can be hurled across the room and come out without even a scratch is good in my books (that was a T60).

 

I have HPs that have been dropped from 6" and broken and I wouldn't dare to drop a Dell Studio.

Do you drive a volvo ?

I have a Thinkpad, and used to drive a Volvo (T4). Thinkpads are 'boxy, but good'

Maybe it's a Volvo thing... although the C70 T5 that I have is slightly less boxy

let me settle this, I have been selling all of the above for years.....and from experience...The IBM thinkpads are the toughest out there short of the Panasonic Toughbooks...the IBM's are also favoured by the "real" techies across the IT world...and i mean globally. The HP are excellent value and have the best warranties of possibly all the manufacturers out there...and i say this having worked as a technical guy years ago, selling them....calling support lines for clients...loggin calls etc...

 

The DELL's.....well there cheap.

 

All the above said and done i possibly fall into the Hp camp due to warranties and overall reliability, but the Lenovos are nice and seem to be really building a new client base now, something that was diminishing for years with the IBM's hence IBM selling off the entire PSG side of the business.

Thats true.. but the quality of the newer Lenovo Thinkpad's is s**t compared to the old IBM ones.

I've had a couple of the older models, such as the 560Z and the build quality was amazing. One ended up flying 6 foot across a room once (someone tripped over the power cable) and was completely fine afterwards. Plus, if something did break, repairing them was easy.

 

The new lenovos just don't seem to have that build quality. Plus they look like the designer is stuck in the 80's.

Mine beats that!

 

Kid running around a science lab in which the teacher had positioned the laptop in the stupidest place possible. The kid then trips over the VGA cable, tearing the wall box to pieces (you wouldn't think that a back box could be broken!) and the laptop then flew several meters before coming to rest.

 

I know that the build quality isn't as good as it was but you have to admit that is impressive.

 

And I still like the way they look
