Graduate Jobs

Anyone able to help me regarding these graduate training schemes? I passed a computing degree with a 2.2 but everyone wants a 2.1 or higher. Currently I can barely tolerate the almost non-IT job I have been put in and was looking at graduate vacancies. I have a year's experience plus a few months under my belt but would they even look at the CV or application if I only have a 2.2?

Network Rail would. There are quite a few who accept 2:2 from what I've seen, I'm finishing uni this year and I've started applying for graduate jobs, I'll see if I can think of any more as the afternoon wears on..

Some grad schemes accept 2:2's. However don't expect to be on the top of their lists! Just gotta push across your enthusiam/knowledge/skills and ability to learn I guess.

 

Maybe that year of experiance will put you ahead of other persons applying.

 

To make you happy - I have a few friends who got 2.2 and ended up with jobs at places like google etc on pretty decent wages e.g. 24k +

What's the usual cut-off after finishing university where you can apply for a graduate scheme. I finished three years ago, and the wage and benefits of just Network Rail sound pretty good. Enough for me to switch careers at any rate.
