mattpant Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I have just taken delivery of 15 new Dell laptops which will be used Wirelessly in our School library. After disabling the Intel software that came with the WiFi Card, and allowing Windows to manage the WiFi Connection and setting "Always wait for Network Connection" in GP I can get the laptops to logon wirelessly without any problems, What I would like to do, if at all possible is create a local mandatory profile for all users using these laptops to help speed up the logon times wirelessly. All I would want on the desktop is just the MS Office Icons. At the moment students pick up a similar Mandatory profile from the server (Which I would still want them to have when not using these laptops) How would I achieve this? Would I need some kind of loopback policy in place? Cheers Matt
MkII Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 There's method described here but it doesn't seem to be very successful: Create an XP Pro Mandatory User Profile on the Local Machine
mattpant Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks Mark, I actually came across that website in my searching around, but I don't think that will do what I want it to do?!? Cheers Matt
