Our secretary is a total star. She is so good at getting rid of unwanted callers. I'm only aware most of the time if I happen to be in the office when there's a call. The school's number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service and that has helped.

And, oddly, they all seem to be offering the same vague all-of-IT service. I generally get two or three callers a week offering to sell us any piece of hardware, software or service available, and they are all Dell / HP / whatever preferred suppliers, and they all claim to offer the (exact same) lowest prices. None of them specialise in any kind of way, none of them do one particular thing better in any way, so I don't remember any of them.
