I have a school who wants to dump Curriculum Complete - they're finding it buggy and complicated. Another school uses the Interactive Planning tool off the DFES site but aren't exactly ecstatic about it. Abacus Evolve has been recommended, but it's only math. They want something that does lesson planning, but also ties in assessment per child. (I know, and world peace and a replacement to fossil fuels.) Cheers. Michele

eean Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Abacus Evolve is a maths scheme of work, that happens to have it's planning within a piece of software. However, it's quite limited, even compared Curriculum Complete. It won't, for example, let you work at home then upload back to the network. You're either home OR school. To do any transfer, you must export to word. I haven't seen anything that's like CC. Most people just use a bit of discipline with storing their plans in nested folders.

eean Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I used to put a shortcut in their my docs to the shared planning drive. Eventually SMT insisted that everyone kept their planning there in a similar folder structure.
