We have a CC3 network and have set in the Internet & Email settings the proxy details.

But now we want to try another proxy so I'm trying to set one user to the old (by using usertypes) and another usertype to the new.

This isn't working though!

It has to be done through GPO directly as the RMMC doesn't have the option to change it at usertype level. I've removed it from the Internet & Email settings and added it at the usertype level in AD.

Any ideas why it wont work?

In RMMC the "Internet and Email Settings" branch gets overwritten by the "User Types" branch - so you need to go into the "User Types" branch and open the new User Type, change the Category to "Proxy Server" and put a tick in the box and enter the new proxy details. From now on this nmew usertype should override the old settings that are in internet and Email settings just for that user.

We don't have a proxy setting within the usertypes :S

It's ok though - I've managed to do it within the AD

Strange!!

In that case I'd suggest it's possible you may be behind in updates/hotfixes??

Nope - just installed the newly released ones.

We have a few issues with our network (CC3 side of things) that have been like that for a long time (before I started) - tried to get them recommissioned but wasn;t allowed.
