HP DC7600 strange noise

I've just installed a DC7600 we bought from ICT-Direct and it makes the wierdest noise, it's a bit like a hummy whine which gets worse when you move the mouse and lets out an allmighty screeching when you shut down the machine.

 

I was just wondering if anyone has come across anything like this before?

 

I've just spoken to John at ICT Direct and he's sending me a replacement hard drive to try in it.
