Sony Vaio Extended Warranty Question

Bought a Vaio VGN-TZ last november from the electronics store at the departures gate in tokyo airport on the way home.

 

Just bought the 2 year vaio warranty pack from sonystyle.co.uk but Its not letting me register it because it says its for european models only.

 

Phoned the helpline and the lassie said that because I bought it overseas, that I there was no such thing as an extended warranty!?

 

Anyone dealt with something like this before, or re-sells for sony and has any clue about the procedure?

 

My 1 year expires soon and I have to have the extended warranty sorted within the 12 months.

Really need to get this sorted soon. Last guy i spoke to on the phone said I need to buy an asia-pacific extended warranty pack but I cant for the life of me find anywhere to buy one of those.

 

tried Sony Asia Pacific and other derivatives

 

My 1 year from purchase is up in a couple of days and the window of extending the warranty is closing quickly.

The first one is the warranty thats been covering it for the 1 year since purchase date of nov 22 07. Its an extended warranty Im after to extend it for another 2 years. I bought what i though was just that form the sonystyle.co.uk shop but it doesnt cover my laptop.

 

The second one is a warranty to cover a UK laptop if it breaks down while your abroad so you can get it fixed while your over there.

 

I need to buy something from the asia-pacific region that covers my asia pacific laptop apparently. But havent been able to since the date of the original post above and have been round and round in circles with sony, sony style, viao help etc etc.

 

Its as if its a big F.U for having the audacity to buy a laptop at a cheaper price in a foreign country.
