maniac Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 We want to produce a simple form that we can run off in bulk that has a incrementing serial number on the top of it. I'm sure there must be a way of doing this in word, but I can't seem to find it. I know I could achieve this by using mail merge and an excel spreadsheet with a single collumn of numbers in, but I'd rather find an auto-number type way of doing things if possible. Googling produces some results, but nothing that appears to work or do what I'm after. It needs to be as easy as possible to print out more of these forms in the future, without having to edit a spreadsheet etc if possible. It's such a simple thing to do, I'm sure there must be an easy way! Anyone got any ideas?? Mike.
Geoff Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 You need to use a macro to do this. For example here's a solution using a macro + a bookmark. Topics: Using Sequential Document Serial Numbers 1
