Dos_Box Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 We have quite a few users here who share some generic mailboxes used for admin purposes, such as webmaster@, info@ etc. One use had discovered that suddenly any relies she does through Outlook attaches her name in the 'From' box as %UserName% on behalf of %sharedaccountName%. She now gets people phoning up asking for her by name, which is obviously not something she wants, or needs! We've tried unticking the 'From' box under 'Options' when replying to mail but still it does this. Anyone have any clues?
Guest theeldergeek Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Is there the option to "show from" somewhere within the email composition window? There is within the toolbar on Outlook 2007, I would have expected the same of 2003... ?
SpuffMonkey Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I think that you get this if you've assigned "Send On Behalf Of" rights to the mailbox. If you go to the generic account in ADUC and go to the Exchange Advanced/Mailbox Rights and grant the user Full Access - I think they can send without that info coming up.

She already has full permissions.
leco Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Is there a Send As or Send Using . . . Account option? Alternatively could you set the Reply to . . . option?
