Faulty Ram

Can faulty Ram corrupt a Windows XP Professional Operating system? Can someone explain please?

It could cause some damage, but generally speaking it's the hard drive itself (if faulty) which could corrupt Windows.

Yes it can as it writes back faulty\corrupt data to the disk, or simply does nothing at all.

A while back I had faulty ram which all the memory check programs said was ok. The ram messed up windows and after months deactivated it. Over more time the OS got so bad it couldn’t boot. It took a good 5 to 7 months for the OS to become unusable.
