Having an issue with InPrint4 on my intune devices, it's deployed as a WIN32 and for the most part has successfully deployed to all the new Intune PC's.

The issue is that it randomly disappears, I'm assuming it's trying to reinstall but even then it's sometimes only reappearing after a week which is delightful in an SEN provision and having to rely on the S in Intune.

The detection is linked to the program file path, which is what was reccomended in the Inprint guide, has anyone had a similar issue?

I've just remotely turned on one of the desktops and signed in, Inprint was there for a few mins before disappearing. Other than Chrome which likes to try reinstall but doesn't actually remove anything I've not had any other issues.

Are you targetting the device or the user?

You've got further than I have. I can install locally using my tried and tested install script. Once it gets into Intune then it fails to unzip to the IMECache folder.

I suspect it might be the length of the filepath+filename

Or equally it might just be Intune being Intune and I should try again on Monday morning.

Have been targetting device,

I've just heard back from support and they're aware of an issue with 4.2.5 having issues installing via Intune, my current package is 4.2.216.0 though.

I've switched the detection rules to MSI to see if that helps. Half tempted to manually install at some point as it's so unpredictable!

I've just contacted support too.

For detection I'm checking Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5410C12F-CA99-41B0-B003-5C2958EE7FC2} for the DisplayName key. No idea if this works yet though.

Support say that it is the length of the filepath+filename in 4.2.5 and should soon have a new version available.

Ah thanks, I'll wait for that version before upgrading. Maybe it'll fix my issue aswell. Though mine is annoyingly bizarre, have 3 sites that went full intune over summer. Most of the devices are fine, some all in ones keep reinstalling it, some class mini pcs won't install it at all but Intunes all happy and saying they're installed. No issues on any of the laptops though.

As I say that, a ticket pops up - it's disappeared again!

When you assign the app, have you got it in the "required" section or the available for enrolled devices one?

Aye, it seems fine for new installs but there's just a few that appear to have got stuck in a loop or incorrectly think it's already installed. Once this new version is released I'll probably add it as a new app and then try supersedence so hopefully it just updates the existing ones rather than installs it all again :D

They told me that 4.2.6 was available too but the link goes to 4.2.220.0

Waiting to hear back from them.

Edit: 4.2.220.0 is their internal version for 4.2.5, it looks like their website hasn't been updated yet.

Ah damn you're right installed it etc think support sent the wrong link :(

They sent me a new link saying the website link was cached. I probably shouldn't post the link here, if you ask them I'm sure they will send it to you (or wait until tomorrow).

I can confirm that 4.2.6 now installs via Intune. The msi number has changed to {EB18CD58-EFD1-45A1-A74E-1552D957C6E8}

Thanks! it failed over night for me but I am trying to use supersedence, which could be why.
