Having trouble with our inventry sign in system where the staff users are getting duplicated.

I have tried to delete the duplications but then the next day they are back, when i contacted Inventry they said that the duplication is being pulled over from our MIS and to check that for duplicate records.  We have found no duplicate records but now the staff can not log on by scanning their id cards as when it duplicated the records it disables the records with all of the card data attached.

This is the same issue we've had, but for us it's duplicated Student records. It only started happening when someone from Inventry remoted in to fix missing Student records and it made things a lot worse.

Unfortunately, they never did fix it and I know of no way to fix it myself.

Are you using Inventry Central?  Are they getting pushed out from there as well as the MIS?

Or has someone added the staff records manually to Inventry and also getting synced via MIS?

We had the exact same issue. We contacted Inventry and they sorted it out. The next issue was the Scan Codes against the users were being erased after 10 mins of assigning a scan code.

We had this when an uber efficient tech was creating the Inventry users by hand and then the MIS link was creating a duplicate overnight. Check both records for a "Person ID" as this is what is linked to the MIS. If one record has one and the other doesn't, I would say either delete the record without one or remove the ID from the other record and assign it to the record you want to keep.

If it appears again after that I would agree with Buzzer and say you have two link sources somehow.
