June 2026 No Hotpatch - was this announced?

Just spotted on the Windows 11 Release Info page, that it seems that they're not doing a hotpatch this month, and we're getting two baseline months in a row (presumably due to the Secure Boot expiry).

 

Wonder if it's also related to hotpatching being turned on by default for everyone last month.

 

Did anyone see an announcement for this in advance? I wonder if it will be mentioned in the changelog when they release the update this evening.

It was certainly being mentioned by the usual MVPs over the last month or so.

 

Despite what MS say, it's almost certainly because reboots are required for the Secure Boot Certificate update, and the deadline for that is about 6 days away.

Turns out it's actually because of YellowKey, per the release notes. 

 

My personal device at home has it already, without having manually checked for updates. I wonder if MS are speeding up the rollout for this reason.
