pete Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (I've got tickets open with involved suppliers). Possibly a niche request but...... We feed staff absence data from Bromcom into Every HR via Wonde. Typically that's 6-10 updates per week across the whole MAT. Yesterday we had ~1540 updates for School A and ~840 for School B, many of them adjustments to historical (September 2024) absences and very petty things like setting the end time of an absence from 16:00 to 15:59. Our staff absences recorders haven't done anything daft (and certainly don't have the time to edit that many entries), which means Bromcom, Wonde or Every have done something daft. Would anyone else using a similar setup mind asking their HR team if they got an unusual flood of staff absences updates this week? cheers Pete
Marci Posted May 22 Posted May 22 (edited) Vision odata’s been tanked for days, and part of the solution has seen data field types switch from datetime to datetimezone on the feed. Fairly sure all this is due to underlying changes being put in place for v2 rollout on both PartnerAPI and Vision oData endpoints, and shenanigans have occurred under the hood. Wouldn’t surprise me if all these things are related given this has taken place in the midst of various attempted fixes for the Vision outage approaching v2’s planned launch on 29th. Whether all of this has impacted the thirdyparty user soap api is anyone’s guess. Edited May 22 by Marci 1
Devaleth Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Has your period structure been tweaked in Bromcom? Bromcom is slightly wierd in how it handles period start + end times (e.g that the end of one period can't have the same minute as the start of another) so if you've added an extra period after 4pm at the end of the day, then covers attached to the original period timing might have been updated accordingly?
pete Posted June 1 Author Posted June 1 ^ No period changes for either school. Bromcom couldn't find any changes in the database audit trail the staff members and absence updates we passed on for them to test/investigate. Every, meanwhile, haven't answered my "how do you think this happened / where did these updates come from?" question.
Marci Posted June 1 Posted June 1 OK - so, if you head to Bromcom QuickReports, domain to Staff Absences > add all fields and take it out to excel... what do the start and end times there show for the impacted records?
