Did anyone else get an email from TES recently to say that they were going to change the login method for parents? It says that it will no longer use the method of matching on details and instead parents will need to set up their own password. Fair enough, that seems more secure. But they haven't said when or how much notice we will get. I asked customer support and one of them has said we will get a message once it has happened - as if they are not going to give us any notice of the change, so for all I know it could be in the middle of an online parents evening. Did you understand the situation in the same way? I couldn't quite believe what I was reading, I hope I have misunderstood!

Yep, I questioned this and the fact that we already use an SSO provider.  If you already use SSO it will not be affected.  The timing is wishy-washier than Wishy Washy in full panto.

In terms of when the roll out is happening there is no concrete date for any school of when the update will take place. We understand the issue this may cause and apolgise for that. The update is happening this way and during this window to allow it to be rolled out to all our schools and troubleshooted before September.

Our email said "mid-2026". We don't have any more parents evenings this academic year, so we're assuming it will have changed by the time we next need it in October.
