We are deploying Smoothwall Montior (well the Smoothwall Browser) to iPads because there is no actual Smoothwall Monitor application for iPads.

The Smoothwall documentation states how to deploy it out to everything but Mobile Guardian. When we jump into Mobile Guardian, what do we need to populate to push out the Serial and OrgID to the device?

At the moment the Smoothwall Browser is now installed on the iPads but we are having to manually add the OrgID and Serial number. These devices are shared so they are not allocated to a specific user but they have been allocated a static IP address so we can identify them.

Where on Mobile Guardian? We have the Serial and OrgID in MG as shown but the app on the device isn't picking up the variables.

Are we missing something?

Nothing obviously wrong there - Im not familiar with mobile guardian (other than I know the founders!). I think a support ticket's your best bet

Reopen the ticket, send me the number

Leave it with me, i'll get it tomorrow and PM you it - cheers Tom 👍🏻👍🏻

The other options in the drop down boxes were Number or boolean.

Stick in a support ticket with mg too

I'm away for a few days, as my wife is home from Africa tomorrow, but I'll check in, might not be as responsive as normal

Nah its definitely string you want. And it's definitely associated with the app, and pushing the app via MDM?

The app is definitely pushed out to the ipads via Mobile Guardian. We have had to enter the Serial, OrgID manually into the smoothwall browser. Thankfully there was only 15 ipads to do but we could do with it automated.

You have a tag set on that settings list, so it will only apply the settings to devices also tagged with "com.smoothwall.browser.plist". Remove the tag and it will apply to all devices.

Awesome! Thank you for your help! That has worked!
