Locker - Creating sync'd class Teams with template

Hi all,

 

We're migrating Google ---> M365 for students this year.

 

I've purchased Locker to do the sync from our MIS and create the Teams.

 

Before I initiate the first sync, can anyone tell me if it is possible to create a class Team from a template with a customised home page?

 

I want to template the home page layout, banner, assign teacher name in the web part, team calendar and a couple of other web parts.

 

 

E.g. the aim is to reduce the teachers effort in customising the home page for every team they own.

 

 

 

How do you guys and gals do it ?

You can create team templates (How to create and manage Teams Templates | SharePoint Maven), Locker when creating the team would have to reference the template and pipe it into the creation of a team. (New-Team -Template EDU_Class -DisplayName "Your New Team") Templates do have some limitations.
