Bromcom Late report

I have been asked by SLT to provide a list of students who are late for Period 2-5 in and 6 period day, so they can be sanctioned at the end of each day. I need to find a way to either make the data easily available or have a daily report emailed to them. Does anyone have any idea what the best way to do this is?

You could run this through quick reports. Start with the "Attendance Basic" data area. Add in attendance code, period display name, register date, then get student names from the sub-menu at the top. Then filter to your marks and period and save.

 

It will default to the current day's marks so if you ran that at the end of each day as a scheduled report it should suit your needs?

 

There may be other ways to do this - linking a behaviour to the mark in question (behaviour -> automated events), or possibly pulling oData and doing this through PowerBI?

We use automated events (something along lines of screenshot below scheduled to run at an appropriate time after close of your p5 registers) to deal with this so no-one needs to do the actual sanctioning - system takes care of it, and staff have eyes on it via PowerBI report that refreshes itself.

Yeah that was my thinking in an ideal world. Does mean that P1 gets hit - Lee, I imagine you want that excluded because you use that register for the AM session and this is focused on internal punctuality rather than late to school?

Thanks for this, I have managed to sort one using this method. The main purpose is to deter them from being late for lessons. We have separate AM and PM periods for registers. I am unsure why they don't want Period 1 now, thinking about it.

Thank you. I am not sure if they want this, but it is good to know it is possible.
