Arbor - Mark Register in Drop Down Day

Hi, I just moved to Arbor (from SIMS) and I need to do a day where all pupils will be with form teachers for the day.  What is the best way to achieve this for registration of pupils to ensure that they get the marks throughout the day?

 

In SIMS this would be done easily through "Lesson Monitor \ Edit Marks"  however in Arbor, the only functionality I can find like this is "Bulk Edit Marks" which teachers do not have permission to use.  The only way I can see at the moment is to make ad-hoc permissions for the day for teachers to have access to this function (which is a bit too powerful to want teachers to have permanent access).  I would need to go through every teacher and add this ad-hoc permission.

We suspend lessons and use the 'intervention' area to create some one-off temporary groups usually. Then teachers can mark registers as usual.

Suspend all lesson, but create a one off lesson in the Registration Group course, after the times for the registrations that are already there. This was you don't have to re-tick all the students back in
