We rolled out to students wasn’t too bad it’s best done with those who know the kids in my opinion. Get SLT up to speed, then they train the form tutors each year.

 

then setup a mini help point each tutor session near their rooms for those who are having issues the teachers can’t resolve.

 

we basically said to the year 11s they could have their phones out for the explicit thing only and they were generally pretty good.

I mean, now that mobile phones will are set to be illegal in schools... when that comes into force, we can't enable this in school.

Not quite accurate - the current guidance will become law as it is, meaning there are exceptions and this would/could certainly be one of them.
