NegativeKillDeath Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Our classrooms are typical set up with a desktop PC connected to CTouch interactive screens. Teachers are free to clone, extend as they see fit and have access to the CTouch freeze function. Concerns have been raised that if a teacher is wandering the class helping students they wont see a notification pop up when the displays are in extend or if the CTouch is frozen. Does anyone have a similar set up and found a way to avoid these scenarios? We will be looking to use the sound in the alerts but this has also met some skepticism from SLT as teachers "may not have the volume turned up".
msi_school Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 My opinion on this although potentially not helpful is that the computers are the wrong method of sending emergency messages, there are too many cases as you have mentioned above that will prevent the message from being received. A Phone or a tannoy are much better, of course they will then say that these alerts need to be covert in which case they could be missed. 2
FN-GM Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Sounds like a person management issue rather than a technical one.
