V4 Print Driver Woes

We have, over the last couple of weeks, been migrating over from V3 (PCL) drivers to v4 drivers but are having nothing but issue after issue. Reason behind the move is to better support Arm devices which are becoming an increasingly attractive proposition.

 

Main issues are: 

Significantly slower print jobs (and occasional lockups of the workstation)

Having to push drivers out to the client manually first (not an issue but a bit of a nuisance)

Settings not sticking, and even on occasion switching mid job

Poor handling of some documents (enlarging embedded images etc) 

 

I wondered if others had similar experiences? I am on the verge of rolling back and writing off Snapdragons for another year or so to see if the situation improves.

Worrying news.  What vendor are your drivers for?

 

Directprint.io  would solve your problems as it uses driverless IP based printing.
