Rob_D Posted November 25, 2025 Posted November 25, 2025 One of our teachers is looking at getting Amazon fire tablets. (obviusly we would make sure they get the more expensive ones without ads) Does the amazon-ness of them makes them harder to manage than other android tablets?
TheHyperTechie Posted November 25, 2025 Posted November 25, 2025 I wouldn't bother, they are a nightmare to manage. There is only a single MDM I am aware of that supports them - https://www.hexnode.com/ Not sure how well it works, but does cost. The few devices I set up (a while ago) were password-protected and had a single Amazon account with purchasing disabled (after installing the desired apps). Additionally, a proxy was enabled for student filtering. 1
