localzuk Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 For some reason, Microsoft have put the "Night Light" toggle in the System/Display area of the Settings app. Even though it is pretty much an accessibility setting to reduce blue light. As is fairly standard, we have the System tab in the Settings app disabled for students. How do we allow access to the Night Light setting for users that need it, while keeping other areas of System/Display disabled? For example, we don't want them to be able to change resolution. We use Intune (devices are Entra ID joined only, no AD).
MrEprise Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 (edited) Could you maybe allow access to ms-settings:nightlight and then provide Students a shortcut to that somewhere? Edited November 11, 2025 by MrEprise
localzuk Posted November 11, 2025 Author Posted November 11, 2025 How do you do that, when the Intune setting simply blocks all of System, and the nightlight setting is a sub-page of the System section?
MrEprise Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 (edited) I recall you can do some element of traditional Group Policy in Intune, as I also thought there was a policy that allowed individual blocking of settings pages. This does mean you'd have to allow the System top-level page and block all the other settings pages within System. Edited November 11, 2025 by MrEprise
