Staying on top of the latest

Morning all,

 

I wondered how everyone else manages to keep on top of all the latest technologies especially in the education sector.

 

I have been working in IT in education for the last 17 years and never ever got a real grip on it.

 

Just looking for advise, newsletters, feeds etc that people may have.

I don't, is probably the overly honest and glib answer.  We deal with far too wide a range of topics and technologies to stay on top.

 

To keep roughly informed I just read around the subject. I keep an eye here, webinars that come up, LinkedIn, The Register and things like the MS 365 update bulletins. Try and surface research things as I come across them so if it is needed I have an understanding and can get more info to apply it.

 

Beyond that it is normally more reactive, when something crops up I get up to speed as quick as I can.
