Windows 11 Strange Anomoly

In the process of upgrading all machines to Windows 11 24H2. All are imaged in the same way using MDT, and all computers are in the same OU.

When logging on as the same user onto computers within the SAME AD OU, some will get all the redirected desktop icons as they should, others will just show 2 machine based icons, adobe reader, and outlook classic.

Whereas the same user logged onto the other machines, gets all the office icons as well as the redirected desktop icons.

Its not the user, but seems to be the PC which is an issue, having tested with multiple users and multiple PCs, it all comes down the to PC which is the issue.

Even though it pulls in the desktop wallpaper, all network drives and policies, just doesnt pull in the redirected desktop.

however, if you browse to c:\users\username\desktop it shows all the icons that SHOULD be on the desktop!

Right click on the desktop has show desktop icons enabled and a refresh of the desktop doesnt help!

strange one which is baffling me!

Running group policy result from DC to both machines with same user logged in are both reporting all the same group policies being applied!

Do you have all the normal GPO setup for things like "Wait for network" ? Could be one machine is getting slower access and dropping GPOs for next login etc
