thimon Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Since CPOMS have changed the admin section again, we can’t see where to wipe staff MFA devices. Any idea? I’ve submitted a ticket but no response yet. https://vimeo.com/1094782139/b4aea90db2?share=copy 3
Alis_Klar Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 What has happened to CPOMS recently? Seems mis-step after mis-step. Do you think when the dust settles they will bring back their own authenticator app which was easier to use as had the 1 button approve feature.
itskdog Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 I called support today, they started walking me through going to the new user management page, then back to the old one, then when I said the tab isn't showing anymore, she said just to email the support email that's in the bottom of the new Cheat Sheet that was sent out this morning (not publishing in case there's a filter for it here) and they'll do it for you from their end. I'm sure the more work we create for them, the more the devs will be badgered into fixing it.

They got brought out by a US group in 2021, and as usual, service eventually suffers because of it... Support has been pretty poor for the last few years. Edited July 15, 2025 by Cat_Jam148
thimon Posted July 22, 2025 Author Posted July 22, 2025 I’ve had the below response from CPOMS. Anyone able to confirm if they can now see the option? “In regards to removing old MFA devices, you should be able to do this from within CPOMS StudentSafe where you used to by following the below steps; From CPOMS StudentSafe dashboard and logging in with your MFA device > Click Adminon the left hand menu > Users > Search for the user and click their name > Security keys Our developers did identify a bug that resulted in the page not appearing, however I can confirm this has now been resolved. If you're experiencing any issues with seeing the 'Security keys' page then we would assume the user has no MFA device, however please let me know if you're having any trouble with this. For consistency, we're also looking to add this functionality into the new Platform main menu area.”

Even for users with existing keys (i.e. the ones with a secuity shield badge against their name in the list of users).
simpsonj Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 I used to have access to the Security keys tab, then they changed the back end, and it's disappeared again...
