steveg Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 Not technically IT, but when has that ever stopped us being asked about it? I'm sure a lot of us have had to fix broken laminators! Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable A3 laminator, one that works well when staff put lots of small stuff in a laminating pouch? We've got an expensive fellowes one which is good for whole sheets of paper, but when you do little bits it seems to jam up a lot as it is designed to not use a carrier, and when using one doesn't seal properly.

A while back, we used GBC roll laminators, like this: https://the-laminator-warehouse.com/collections/gbc/products/gbc-ezload-4410020 £700, plus the cost of the laminator rolls. Can handle lots-of-little-bits quite well as you can just keep feeding them in.
steveg Posted May 9, 2025 Author Posted May 9, 2025 That looks impressive, I think the rolls look like they work out more expensive than pouches though so may be a little out of our budget with the increased running costs too.
Chris_Cook Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 We use a Vivid Linea DH-650 A1. These are great for bulk laminating, but probably a lot of wastage if you are only doing 1 offs. I think they do a smaller version. Changing the rolls has also become an IT problem as they are fairly heavy, and a bit fiddly to thread through.
