mitchell1981 Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Hi All, Was just about to press the order button on a large quantity of Dell laptops (purchased through Dell Premier platform). I've selected the options for 3 year on-site warranty, and 3 year accidental damage cover. However, now I've looked into the accidental damage policy it mentions 'aged 18 or over'. But it's quite vague about what this means. See image attached. The policy holder must be 18? The business owner must be 18? The user of the laptop must be 18? Has anyone else used this cover in a school environment, and has the user of the laptop ever been questioned, or challenged? Thanks.
LukeRowberry Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 The way I read that is that it's available to 1. Businesses 2. Residents aged 18 or over 1
mitchell1981 Posted May 6, 2025 Author Posted May 6, 2025 Ahh yes, it does. I didn't read that very well! So there probably should be no problem giving these devices 1:1 for students to use.
PotNoodleTech Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 You'll want to physically ask them if the policy covers 1:1 with under 18s ina school, otherwise your just guessing. 1
mitchell1981 Posted May 6, 2025 Author Posted May 6, 2025 I got through to an account manager, and they have confirmed that it's not a problem. Thanks for your help. 1
