Schools in Wales - Hwb use Poll

Same no change here. Council ambivalent, they prefer whatever is the least work for them  which for us is keeping the status quo.   Am looking into moving over to Hwb myself maybe in a year or two as it might be easier for new starters etc who are used to using Hwb (rather than getting to grips with our current 2 systems) but what PodNoodle said is valid because of the lack of versatility (e.g. how to do a SAR on hwb?)

 

I think our LEA was more concerned with the budget e.g. schools paying for their own Windows/Office licensing as our LEA hadn't informed of the Hwb KMS etc and so schools had payed unnecessarily. So I'd say if you run your own stuff (we pay for server licenses as needed) you are OK but if the LEA provide your AD, intune etc that will go away and you'll need to switch to Hwb or set up your own.

I think a SAR is done via written request from the HT.
