Hi all

Is anyone out there managing Mac OS in intune? we are just looking into it with the idea we could replace JAMF School in the summer. intune is a new thing for us so we are looking at many fronts at the same time.

I appreciate that intune wont give all of the functionality the JAMF we don't really utilise much of the Education stuff in our context. we bind our macs to AD, mount a share authenticated when a users logs on and distribute apps etc.

We want to be able to log on with AD credentials and work from there.

I'm particularly interested in how people set the AD bind and login screens?

Any help appreciated

Hate to be pedantic, but you wouldn’t package Logic or FCP as they’re Store apps and you’d use the VPP to download them.

As for Adobe, you could package the individual apps, but I admit that that’s far from ideal.

Hate to be pedantic you have obviously never packaged an app for distribution via an MDM ? Whilst you download Apps such as Logic and FCP via VPP you don’t download each app on every Mac individually you create a package to distribute the application via the MDM, this package is built in the cloud space using tools in the MDM.

Here is some reading for you to get up to speed on how to do this
